Bellevue University cares about its community
At Bellevue University, we realize the importance of being active and contributing members of our community. In fact, we cherish the role.
University employees donate their time and skills to hundreds of local groups and organizations, including Cub Scouts of America; YMCA and YWCA; American Red Cross; United Way of the Midlands; Goodwill Industries; Campfire USA; as well as dozens of local churches and other charitable organizations.
Bellevue University has been a corporate sponsor for events that support, among others, the American Lung Association; the Midlands Community Foundation; Girls, Inc.; Heartland Family Service; Goodwill Industries; and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In the Community, we have been proud to implement the Latino DREAM Scholarship Program, an initiative to enroll, retain, and educate Latinos in the Greater Omaha Metropolitian area, as well as within the State of Nebraska and parts of western Iowa.
That role of volunteer is shared with Bellevue University students as well. Through the Kirkpatrick Signature Series, our students donate thousands of volunteer hours each semester.
We are proud that the students, staff and faculty of Bellevue University are successful in their quest to serve on many levels for so many great causes.
