Institutional Scholarships and Grants

These funds are awarded by the University primarily through the Admissions area or Athletic Department. Need-based and merit-based scholarships are selected by scholarship committees through the Scholarships and Grants Program Office.

Phi Theta Kappa Grant (PTK)

Phi Theta Kappa awards one-time, non-renewable $500 grants to high achieving undergraduate transfer students who have received the Phi Theta Kappa distinction at their community college. Students must hold a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have earned an Associate of Arts (A.A), Associate of Science (A.S.), or an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) at the time of transfer.

Verifiable documentation will be required to receive award. Please contact your Enrollment Counselor for more information.

Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Annual and endowed scholarships are funded by donations from organizations or individuals and are awarded based upon criteria set up by the donor. These need-based scholarships are selected periodically by scholarship committees through the Scholarships and Grant Program Office.

Renewable Scholarships

Renewable scholarships are select scholarships that can be earned by undergraduate students year-over-year for 4-5 years or until you earn a bachelor's degree, if certain conditions are met.

Outside Scholarships

All scholarships that do not fall into the previous categories are referred to as outside scholarships. Whatever their source, they are processed through the Financial Aid Office to ensure that an over-award situation does not occur with Title IV federal funds and to ensure that the student's account is properly credited with the funds received. Please report all outside financial aid awarded to [email protected].
