What are micro-Internships?
Micro-Internships are just what they sound like – short-term, paid, professional experiences. They typically involve five to 40 hours of work and many can be completed remotely, with you in one location and the employer based in another.
Micro-internships are offered by companies in all kinds of shapes and sizes – from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. Assignments go across all departments, including sales, marketing, technology, human resources and finance.
Why should I complete a micro-internship?
Micro-internships are a practical way to enhance access in your career pathway, demonstrate your skills and competencies, attract potential employers, and develop relationships through mentoring and coaching.
If you are a student, your academic experience will improve as you apply what is taught in the classroom to the real world work experience (and vice versa). Micro-internships provide Real Learning for Real Life!

Bellevue University connects students and alumni, and employers, to micro-internship opportunities through the Parker Dewey® platform. Just follow these easy steps to get started and apply for a micro-internship:
- Go to the Bellevue University-Parker Dewey page: Micro-Internships for Bellevue University (parkerdewey.com).
- Click on the “Apply for Micro-Internships” button in the upper right.
- Enter your information to create an account.
There is no limit to how many micro-internships you can apply for, but make sure you can complete the micro-internship to which you commit within the timelines set for you.
